39th Youth National Basketball Championship

Mr Rupak Barua, managing director & CEO, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital Ltd attended the closing ceremony of the 39th Youth National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls. The nationals came back to Kolkata after 12 long years.

As healthcare partner of the event, Woodlands Hospital provided the services of a doctor and nurse with first aid at both the venues, along with ambulance service throughout the 7 days of the tournament at the beautiful Dumurjola Stadium, as well as four days of play at the West Bengal Basketball Association ground at Red Road - a small support from our side to sporting activities among the youth. While more than 200 boys and girls were treated at the two grounds for cuts and niggles, bruises and scrapes, there were more serious injuries in six cases, including fractures, where assessments, investigations and treatment had to be done at Woodlands Hospital.
