Dr Saroj Mandal is a practising cardiologist with over two decades of experience. He completed his MBBS in 1994 from the University of Calcutta, followed by an MD (General Medicine) and a super-speciality DM (Cardiology).

He has extensive expertise in cardiac imaging, cardiac catheterisation, coronary angiography, and interventional cardiology, including angioplasty and stenting. He also has significant experience in implanting pacemakers and other cardiac devices. Dr Mandal is also associated with SSKM Hospital, Kolkata.

He has made editorial contributions to five books and has published around 100 papers, including original and review articles, besides contributing chapters in books.

He has also been shortlisted for the Padma Shri this year in recognition of his contributions to cardiology and public service.
