Woodlands is authorized by the West Bengal Pollution Board for management and handling of Bio-Medical waste.

The departmental staff of housekeeping department is responsible for the collection of Bio-Medical waste in appropriate color coded poly bags /containers from all patient care areas of the hospital. Bio-Medical Waste is not be mixed with any other waste. The collected waste is temporarily stored in a designated Bio-Medical Waste room.

Sembramky Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd is responsible for transportation of Bio-Medical Waste from the Hospital to their site of treatment in a covered van and the Bio-Medical waste is done as per regulation.
